Your main objective is to please the people, not the Senate. :(Īnyway, my point is, the Senate can't do anything to you other than not assigning you any positions for power - which you don't need. Unfortunately, I left the region before the Senate could tell me what the "secret" was. Senate issuing an empty threat at me, trying to get me to leave an allied region. Here is a picture of a mission they sent me asking me to leave an ally's land: The Senate can only issue empty threats, so don't worry too much about them. Note that you do not have to follow ANY of the Senate's missions, unless they benefit you in some way. You do not HAVE to, though, as blockading the port is helping your allies - and future enemies. After this, you will be asked most likely to blockade a port (I can't remember the name), but if you want to, you can do it. Move them into the fleet and take Appolonia. You have a fleet parked in your port, and two generals with some nice units. You will be rewarded a healthy 5000 denarii for this. At the first turn, you will probably get a message telling you to take Appolonia. Playing as the Brutii, you start with 2 provinces. Greece and the Mediterranean is the wealthiest part of the entire map, so you should snatch it right away. Playing as the Brutii, you should have absolutely no problem making money after your conquests get going. The Senate and the other Roman houses have your back - but think of them as enemies, never friends. You are one of the three Roman houses, and you start off in a pretty solid position.

The Brutii faction is not the hardest one, nor the easiest, but it is very enjoyable. I will update this campaign guide at least once every day. I am also playing a Macedonian campaign right now. I am re-playing the campaign right now, and I will make references from my current campaign. You can find plenty of SPECIFIC guides on the Brutii Campaign out there. It is not a SPECIFIC step-by-step guide, just a general strategy. This post will be about the Brutii Campaign, and a guide that will help you in the game. Note: THIS BLOG IS FOR THE LONG CAMPAIGN, BUT YOU CAN USE THE STRATEGY FOR THE SHORT CAMPAIGN TOO. I play the campaign typically on m/h (as I said, I'm a casual gamer, not a pro), and sometimes I play h/vh.

more on that later) but what's the fun in that? I like to play faction by faction, until I've beat all of them. If you have played Rome: Total War before, you will know that there are three starting factions to choose from (of course you can cheat and use descr_strat.
